Do RDHAPs have background checks performed?

RDHAPs are licensed by the Dental Hygiene Board of California (DHBC). Criminal history information from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is also provided to the DHBC before an RDHAP license is issued. Also, RDHAPs must have their fingerprints registered in the Live Scan fingerprinting database.
